Lilly is a happy happy girl.
Ken Andrews toured with her, and helped produce this EP! (and it's available through CDBaby!)
Charlotte co-produced the EP with the respected Ken Andrews (Pete Yorn, Year of the Rabbit). Luring background vocals by Beth Katte compliment the layered elements of "Veins." Cellist Emily Wright (Ben Harper, Abandoned Pools) appears on "Days of the Week," bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck, Macy Gray) joins Charlotte on "Under the Gravel Skies" and drummer Joey Waronker (REM, The Eels) emerges on "Root."
For those that don't know Ken Andrews, check out the link. Anyone who hasn't heard Failure's Fantastic Planet, or anything else by Failure (his old rock band), should. Period. Maybe I should re-state that... anyone who is a sci-fi fan or a concept record fan, that hasn't heard Fantastic Planet, or own Fantastic Planet, should.
In another good category, Abandoned Pools is very good too... Humanistic is a great record...
RCA, as a label, is known to be very flexible with their artists. For more on that, check out a band called Hum. They were able to release short vinyl runs through their own record label (Martians Go Home), of the same album RCA released (Downward is Heavenward), at the same time. No other major record label would have allowed that without stiff punishment, I could almost guarantee it.
