I think that..as long as we're able to live our lives as we choose, we should beable to end it - as we choose.
Because we live in America...other countries allow it...the Eskimoes do it/did it....the sick person would waunder off to die...
"Death is apart of life,
Everyone has the right to life,
Therefore, everyone has the right to die"
This is a very well written piece and put forward very convincingly. I'm in 100% agreeance with you.
Kudos
Also, I hope you don't mind, I've posted a link to this piece through my blog. If you do mind, just give us a hoy and I'll take it down

I took care of a vent patient for over a year.
My patient was of sound mind....early sixties....her medical issues were such..that even if all her other health issues were addressed, healed and no longer an issue...she will still be in chronic pain...and she would be on a vent the rest of her life.
I was there the day had chosen to be taken off the vent. With her daughter and son-in-law by her side I was in the room when she was injected with various medicine to help her remain calm while the vent was removed.
She held her daughter's hand and thirty-five minutes later she fell into a coma.
Three hours later she finally passed.
It amazed me that alot of the medical staff that were working that day refused to go into the room. The conversation at lunch that day was what a horrible shame it was. I couldn't believe how utterly selfish my coworkers were being. They see suffering on a daily basis and yet they damn a woman who chose to end her suffering with the blessing of her family.
I took care of alot of people before leaving nursing altogether..however that patient I will remember until I die of old age....or, heaven forbid, have to beg some self-righteous pro-lifer to end my own suffering.
