There comes a time when one is writing where saying, "This is good" has to be enough. Or you'd be finessing forever and very rarely be truly content with what is produced as a result.
Of course, I rarely go back and read any of my finished products (i.e. novels, though I do read my short stories over and over... Weird.) because I think of a hundred things that I should have done "better."

Thou art so very wise, wise beyond thy years, ma'am. I really should be satisfied with the effort far sooner in the process...
<snort> By my age, I should hope that I have acquired a little something of practical usage, eh? Goes with the gray hair. lol
You ain't that old, ma'am. And I know these things for I am old, and I'm in the process of going white as snow - freshly fallen snow cast upon a nearly barren wasteland...
Yep, it's true...
Yep, it's true...
Perhaps for you to use it to its fullest potential you have to close your eyes and type like there was no yesterday, and let the words carry you - completely lift you - to where you belong... You may be too tethered to let them do their proper job. It is one thing to let the words flow through, but you must ALLOW them as well to influence you - for if I know anything I know that perhaps I know that you may not always know what you have written until its come -
And you do know me well, ma'am, for I do not always know what flows forth upon the numerous pages that I find myself writing and it is only through another that I usually discover all that must be know for through other's know do I gain knowledge of what is hidden deep within the realm of my cranium...
