An Apology to My Next of Kin
To my next of kin
An apology to my next of kin
For all the things I should have done
For all the places I should have been
For all the things I have yet begun . . .
I am so sorry I was not there
For all the special moments--
It is not that I did not care
I just had other commitments . . .
I should have spent much more time
On things that were much more important
And I admit to this inexcusable crime
And if I could, I would repent . . .
It is too late change the past,
But maybe the future will be different
And I will struggle to the very last
'Til my last bit of energy is spent
To be the person I should have been
To those of you who are my next of kin.
...and thus ends the poetry thing for today...
This is the Word of the AntiCrust...
Praise be the Word...
