Well ... Whew!  I'm glad it's finally over ... except that means the season is over too, and that's not good.  It does mean, however, that life can regain some semblence of normalcy again.  Being a Steeler fan is exhausting!  ;)

Pittsburgh needed this win.  The city is struggling both financially and well ... as I said before, the city is looking for a new identity since the steel mills are no longer.  Life is hard here ... the economy is recovering slowly ... we are a blue collar city.  Football is our #1 diversion on any level - pee wees through high school, college to the Steelers.  Ahhh well ... now back to our regularly scheduled  ... life.  :)

Thanks
STEELER ~ CHAMPS!

Re: Well ... The Steelers Did it!
I was thinking of you when Spousal Unit told me the Steelers won. I was endeavoring to eject my sternum at the time, but I remember thinking you'd be pleased.

Glad you are.

I like that....being a Steeler fan is exhausting!  Just think the pressure of getting 'One For The Thumb' is over now.  We can breath a little easier, as we casually just keep winning Superbowls!  Until that 'One More For The Other Thumb' comes upon us!

The financial trouble of the City is not so much because we have to re-think our game plan because the Steel Mills were chased over-seas because of the greedy union network (particially) but mainly it is about poor management in the County of Allegheny and a declining School District.

We havn't had a decent Mayor since Callagori (spelling ?) and... pork spending!  Did you ever go down to any public facility in Pittsburgh?  Too many people with too little to do!  And let's not forget a Governor who is a mob leader by nature with no experience and can care less about Pittsburgh!

Our medical field are world-known; our Universities as well.  There would be more business within City Limits if only the tax burden wasn't so bad, crime is lower than most cities, lower cost of living, we got a clean City with clean air and waters (our waters are fairly good if the 'Bass Championship Tournament' was held here last year), wonderful restaurants and arts, beautiful views and attractions are building up tourism all the time.  Many people who travel here have nothing but good things to say about the City.  Our Sports attractions continue to make us the 'City of Champions'' especially the Steelers!  GO STEELERS!

You know if they had won honestly I would congratulate them.  However, their first touch down wasn't a touch down but due to not being challenged it was...The replay clearly shows he wasn't in the end zone....

Re: Well ... The Steelers Did it!
I won't argue the point of th etouchdown, but the fact is, to get to Detroit we had to go through Indy and there wre SEVERAL cals against us.  One even resulted in an apology from the official!  So ... it evens out in the longrun.
