Sounds like you feel about summer the way I feel about winter - I am really trying to "embrace" the winters and rain out here in Northern California. Our summers are scrumptious, but we don't have the humidity like you do.
But, the main thing, even with losing your money (and mostly recovering it) is that you had a wonderful time with your children. That's the most important thing, particularly with a child in the service. Glad for you...
Namaste, Ubu
Yes ! Absolutely right! And all the money in the world can't buy relationships like that! Not too many young adult kids who would WANT to travel and hang out with their mom, ya know??? lol

Yes, I do know and you should be a proud mom!!!! That trip was worth more than any money, as you said.
yup ... he will be 22 next month. I have an older daughter (25), too, who is my "project" for now. These two are pretty well on their chosen course.
Are you still there with Carole? How's the dayspa coming along?
Oh WOW!!! It is wonderful! Man, I wish I lived closer! lol But be forewarned, if I'm ever in the neighborhood, I'll be by, for sure!
Oh it looks delicious!
Oh it looks delicious!Isn't Charleston awesome? I went to the same battleship and took a bunch of pictures. I got to meet a WWII vet and we chatted for a bit. My grandfather fought in WWII and that meant a lot to me to see some of what they had to go through.
That bridge is something to see and drive over.
Did you get a chance to go to Bubba Gumps?
This is our, ummm *counting* fourth visit to the Charleston area since my best friends live there. Bubba Gumps has not been on any of our lists. I enjoy historical stuff, but ... this time it was just too darn hot to do too much other than visit ... in the a/c! I hope to go back down in the fall some time ... maybe for a longer stay and get some serious sites done.
very nice!
