Great question, B. As tough as they can be, it's relationships that satisfy us, isn't it?
Without a doubt, it is relationships ... each of them flavors us a bit differently!
And I think that flavor's gonna be sweet soon when you get to see your daughter again!
Yes ... bittersweet. As you well know, nothing stays the same. That moment in time when the kids are small passes so quickly. Now, they are each moving in their own callings, in their own directions. I'm unspeakably proud, but admittedly, my heart breaks too, to let them go. I don't know how I could even try to do this without the knowledge that they are safe and secure in my loving Father's hands even as I am.
When our son signed up for the Coast Guard, Laurie told me she felt like she'd been punched in the stomach. Every age has its challenges, doesn't it?
Yes ... it's challenges, it's joys, and its sorrows. Thank God, the joys usually outweigh everything else!
