1.  How do you feel right now?

Groggy, eye sight is fuzzy from the sun shine on the bright white snow, I could use a nap.

2.  What was your first thought of the day today?

I woke up at 6:30am thinking I was still living in Milwaukee in the apartment building, Wellington Hall.  When I realized I wasn't really there, that I was in my current place of residence in Stevens Point, I had a weird bit of a shock.  I hate dreaming like that and waking up like that, with a slight bit of disorientation.

3.  What are you hungry for today?

Besides sleep, I had a craving for a Burger King Whopper -- the bigger and greasier the better.  Now I'd settle for a nice rice dish or casserole for dinner, something homemade not a fast food buy.

4.  What are your plans for the evening?

I volunteered to help my brother clean his apartment again.  It's not that he's uncapable of cleaning it himself, he just needs some motivation to get him focused so that he doesn't have to do it all at the last minute before his kids come over for a visit this weekend.

5.  Current dominant color of the clothes you're wearing right now:

Black trousers, black suede coat, and black rayon blouse with red Celtic bands going down on the side.

6.  Current nail color:

I am wearing "Russian to a Party" by OPI (of course).

7.  What does your hair look like right now:  flat, long, and full of static because I've been walking around with my big fuzzy Alpaca hat on.  You know it's cold when I've got the fuzzy Alpaca hat on:

Yep.  I look like a total elf with that hat on, but it keeps me warm!

8.  What is the worry in the back of your mind:  that I'm not living up to my true potential and I'm letting time slip away too easily when I should be making use of each minute working on something significant.

9.  What is your goal for the week:  To finish at least five more pages of the comic book and to just get better motivated in general.  I no longer want to lose my passion to apathy.

10.  What would you like to happen right now:  recieve a lot of money and praise for just being me!  (don't we all want that?)

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
Yay!  I made it so it would catch on -- the survey that is!  But, yeah, my hat is so unique and silly, and oh, so warm and fuzzy, the cold gives me a good excuse to wear it just to put a smile on other people's faces.

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
Noice.  Good job, then!!

My uncle has what I call a "Moscow" hat.  You know, the big, furry ones with the ear flaps..I've been trying to steal it for years!!  LOL

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
Oh, those are great hats.  It's hard to find the right kind of ear flap hat, too.  My friend has a store and she sells 'em but they're not the ear flap hats that come from Russia, these are from Nepal.

1.  How do you feel right now?

That I wish Andy would leave me the hell alone.

1.  I think it's that wintery malaze everyone seems to be going through at the moment!

2.  I second that!

3.  Yummy, yummy comfort food Smiley

4.  I can't seem to quit caffeine...

5.  Pink is cool, however I have a hard time pulling it off myself.  Silly Michael, he's got pink on his mind, has he?

6.  Oh, neat!  glittery nail polishes rock

7.  It's that time of year for flat, frizzy, dry, and staticy hair looks.

8.  I have the same worry.  Bastard.  And bastard me for constantly unable to get him off my goofy mind, too.

9.  Yay!  Rowan turns 2 soon!!!  Give a hug for me.

10.  Me, too, me, too!

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
I had an email from him asking how Rowan and I are doing. He mentioned yet again  being negligent of seeing Rowan and blahbity blah blahs...
It seems like everytime I can finally go a day without thinking of him, I get an email or a dream.

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
Well, at least he stopped emailing me when I told him what I go through when he contacts me.  I know it hurt him and I hated to say it, but I had to.  I hope that one day I'll be over him enough to let him be friendly or at least ask if I'm okay.  Someday...

It's good to be an elf.  No matter how chubby I am, at least I'm cute! Smiley

As Michael tells me (and Jonathan always did and still does from time to time)  there's just more of us to love and more soft spots to rest their heads on.

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
Yep.  My nephews tell me I have a "pillow body" which I think is a great comfortable comment.  Gotta love the things kids say every now and then!

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
better than being called a bitch by a 3 y/o nephew.    Pillow body. I like that.

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
Ouch.  Yeah, when my nephew Nick was 3 he once decided to JUMP on my chest (he was used to tackling his dad like that and didn't realize he could hurt his Auntie Val) and I ended up with a toddler sized bruise on my boobs!!  It didn't hurt until a day later.  BUT that's terrible that your 3yr old nephie calls you a bitch.  You know that's not him talking, don't you?  He's gotta be getting that cuss word from someone else...  Jeez.  My nephews cry whenever I accidentally say "shit" and then I feel really bad.  Again, I guess I'm lucky they are so well behaved, but that didn't happen over night.  I worry still about what kind of teenagers they are going to be...

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
He's 19 now... That was his first word to me. My sister adopted him when he was 2 1/2. On his 3rd birthday I was carrying him downstairs to the basement to show him the toyroom and the present I got him  - a teddy bear and some piano thing- and he looks up at me, says "aunt mymy bitch"     He didn't say a word to me again until the summer and called me a bitch again when I was helping him with his toys. I was like 10 or 11 at the time and it crushed me.

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
OH, I can just imagine.  Some kids really do let out those curse words and don't mean to, but I betcha you must've thought it was a sign of things to come, eh?  He's still young, you can only hope.  I hope to be the best aunt I can be.  My inspiration, believe it or not, was the movie Practical Magic -- I want to be, not just a cool aunt, but the kind of aunt my nephies will come to for spiritual and magical advice.  They have it in their blood!

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
That was what I wanted..  Sadly, his early behavior was a sign to come. All of the early troubles my folks and sister (and earlier on her husband- now divorced and he recently passed away) just said "oh, he's adopted, cut him some slack."  or the one that always pissed me off "you're just jealous."  When he was 10 he threw my nintendo across the room, breaking the gamedrive and one of my mom's crystal swans.   I yelled for my mom and she said "Miya you shouldn't break things and blame them on Ryan, he's just a child."  I was 17, getting ready to go to college, and never jealous about Ryan. I was thrilled to get a nephew as it was kinda like getting a sibling since my sister and I are so different age wise.
valentinaxxx on
Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
Yeah, I can see why they played that card on you.  Sounds to me like your adopted nephew came with some anger management issues or a possible diagnosis of a bi-polar disorder (not that I want to blame a kid's bad behavior on a disorder, but you never know).

And, seriously, like a 17 year old is going to throw her nintendo and her mom's crystal swans!  You were 17 not 3!  Some people need to get hit in the pimple, even if they don't have a pimple...

Re: The How Are You Doing at This Moment Survey
yep. now he's 19, and is going to jail in a few days for about a month and owes a few grand to the city park's district for being a dumbass.  He and a friend rode their bikes to the baseball diamond after dark, broke the lock on the gate, broke into the concession house/stand, stole half a box of candy bars, and set fire to an outside trashcan.  He had actually gone in and waved in front of the video camera, thinking it was a fake.  His buddy is scheduled to go in to jail tomorrow and if he has skipped town, Ryan owes the full fine for the two of them and has to do 4 months in jail.
