More women should wear hats! They look beautiful on them =) And dresses too!

I love hats, too, but rarely find really great ones that match my complexion and face shape perfectly. 
You'll like the fact that I NEVER wear jeans -- I'm strictly a trouser, goucho pants, skirt and dress wearing kind of gal.   I like looking pretty and wearing things that bring me a sense of pride and comfort.
I think the same about guys, too.  If more of them knew how to dress themselves well... well, let's just say I think they'd get more girlfriends more often.  NOT saying that I attract a lot of folks with my attire, but it is usually easy to spot me in a crowd.

I love dressing for myself. Sometimes I like how casual jeans are but I'm REALLY fond of skirts, thigh high stockings and hats. (Especially vintage clothing)


I just repaired a dress from the 40-50s. Luckily all the work was in the seams alone or else it would have been near impossible to repair. I'll have to take a picture of it with a hat of mine!

Sweet, thanks!  The hats are made of straw and ribbon, some of them, like the one Cinnamon is wearing are kinda Indiana Jones style perfect for gardening or doing any kind of work outside during the summer months ($26).  The hat Lola is wearing is a ribbon band one that costs $26.00 -- comes in colors of bright pink, wine brown, navy blue and of course the black -- cool thing about the ribbon hats is that they are bendy and wide.  Dala's also has visors of straw mat ($20), recycled silk knit hats ($20), knit wide bands ($10), and ones made of hemp for $21!

I know Josh mentioned you guys wanting to come visit me and vice versa, so maybe if we can make some plans, I'll have to bring you into my friend's store so you can get a good look-see.  The only drawback for me having visitors is that I don't have much at home for entertaining.  Yeah, I still need to buy cups, mugs, pots and pans, silverware, and I need more furniture, too.  I'm slowly building up my apartment home.  This week I'm finally getting some brushes, brooms, and a vaccuummmmm cleaner.  I'm not very domestic, I'm more like a gypsy, used to living in temporary places... you know how that goes? 

Whenever we come up we can always bring along some items if you need them. I know we seem to have extras of almost everything since we moved and then my family. So just ask away. I'll let you know if we have one.

Super!  Yep, one of these days, especially as the weather gets warmer and there's more fun things to do outside!

Oh, you'd have such a good time here!  But be prepared, if my brother tags along he'll try to convince you guys to move up here.  I didn't tell him about the gun incident because I'm sure if I did, he'd climb in his car and kidnap you guys (and force you to live with me in my apartment because I have an extra room!).  But, nah, seriously...  we have kids with guns up here, too, so whatever. 

I did some more fun stuff with the "heads" so expect more pix today!

We have a "vacation jar" that we've been filling up with our change and a few dollars here and there, but we haven't decided where we are going yet. We're going to talk with Levon to see what he would like better- spending a day in Chicago or going up north or to the Dells for a weekend. Hopefully he picks the latter, then we can come see you!

Yeah, I keep dreaming about visits and travel, too.  I have a few folks on Mindsay here I'd like to meet up with as well.  One of these days....
