I baked bread using some of the garlic and herbs from our garden. Our neighbor has chickens and gave us some eggs and a roaster chicken, so we are going to make a meal out of that for dinner tonight. I think I'm going to go pull some leeks this afternoon and make a japanese dish that focuses on chicken and egg cooked together in a broth over rice.  However instead of making the dashi stock (fish flake stew- yum) I'm going to use my own chicken broth  for it. Try and keep everything from local sources.

All of that sounds yummy, indeed.  I'm chilling out right now after getting the laundry done.  Everyone's in a good mood.  I'm watching Elvira on the Chiller channel.  I've got a minor sore throat and I'm worried I might finally be getting a touch of what the boys had earlier last month.  I always seem to be the one to get the colds last!  Ugh.  But other than that, I've been planning some Big Mama Goth cartoons,  thinking about designing some more of those Drag Queen "Fairy" cards (in parody of those annoyingly sweet New Age angel cards, I'm sure you've seen 'em around), and working on the comic book.  I'm trying to make use of the gifts given to me today!  And looks like my harvest meal is going to be Taco Bell because I couldn't get the boys interested in cooking tonight.  At least the meal will be on Mark!
