That is so FUNNY! I thought it looked a little like you, too, but wasn't sure until you said something. Yeah, it's the lace and the colors that remind me of you. So funny how things like that leak into my paintings!
lmao Yeah my mom was looking at it and she was like, "That one...looks strangely familiar." And I cocked my head to the side, looking at it. "Oh yeah, hmmm" then my mom goes, "She looks like you! Was your friend drawing you?" I started laughing. It was so cute.
Sometimes drawings and paintings evolve like that. I wasn't even thinking of you when I first drew it up, but then as the colors came to life, I could see you in that pose with your eyes behind a net of lace. I thought, "how cool! I should tell Michelle to do that" but then I forgot, a month goes by, I finally post the paintings and I think it's so cute how your mom recognized what I recognized. Serendipity!

Ideas are flying around in my mind, especially last night, but I was too tired to write it all down. The 18th century stuff leaked in because I have been thinking about a silly story about a silly lady named Estelle Fox that could tie in with another card deck I created last year or so, my Mmlle. Lenormand Fortune Telling Deck. There are so many possiblities... but I have to hunker down and get some work work done soon. I have a bill to pay (sux). Glad you love the Fairy Godmothers! I'm thinking that I will make up to 78 -- next there will be 9 Fairy Godmother Queens!

I stayed up all night last night writing about them. Things are fitting together... now I just have to get motivated to finish other work!

(just got kicked in the elbow accidentally by my nephews who are playing right next to me -- they're wrestling over cookies) -- where was I? Oh, yeah. OUt of pure laziness I don't do enough to finish what the muse gives me, so I really have myself to blame. I've seriously got to get down to business, but at the moment it's hard with two rowdy boys around! The weather has to clear up soon so we can all go outside to play!
I'm terribly guilty of that many times. Laziness is a terrible thing. If only I could break the habit.

So many people have said just that! Too funny. underground1986 's Mom thinks it looks like her, too. I think sometimes an artist puts their self into a painting without realizing it.

I could do over 100 even, or less, depending upon how far I want to take this project. But it would be really hard to shuffle a card deck that is 100 cards or more!
