Sounds great. You can even illustrate your books which is a huge awesome advantage.

Happy New Year, Val! And cool that you're keeping another journal. It's funny how just a small thing like keeping a little notebook handy makes such a difference. Look forward to seeing what comes out of it.

You, too! I think it'll be a great year. I'm hard at work. More to come. You know I'll be sharing it all here soon.
Believe is a huge, huge step.
I'm working on a book too: it really helps to give one a sense of purpose during a time of unemployment, in a way that casting resumes into the void does not.
Of course, just *writing* that can be the issue some days. Creating that first draft is the key.
Now, I'm going to stop procrastinating online, make a cup of tea, and write in the actual *book*, dammit.

I've been writing for a long while, probably ever since High School. People still remember me as the girl who sat in the corner writing all the time in secret notebook journals. I never gave up. I've had a few things, short stories, poetry, published here and there. I even had a comic strip published each week in a local newspaper ten years ago. That was fun. Crazy deadlines, tho. But real life has a way of distracting me from going much further. However with the experiences I've had in life, much would make for a great novel, or two. I don't know. I have a lot of stuff brewing.
Writing isn't a problem for me, it's getting someone to buy it or publish it that can be a problem sometimes. You can't afford to procrastinate, you have to persevere.
