What I like to do, which I find helps, is stand aside and let the world fight itself! Kill 2 birds with one stone by let them spend their energy on each other - Then come in and clean up the afters with minimum fuss or fighting. Anyone who falls from either side of an arguement can become a new friend to you when you pick them back up again and support them, they can all be united again under something positive.

That all said I do get involved in fighting myself sometimes, but I try to win people over rather than let it become war, as far as possible
