Alright. So i keep a journal (and i do not mean a website or blog) I mean the old fashion ones with paper and pen.
People tend to think of this as obsolete  (i have had friends tell me this in an inderect way)  in a society full of technology, but I would rather keep one that is tangible (since I am tactile). Also, what if for some reason, like it happened not too long ago, electronics ceased to work for, lets say, a natural disaster? Then what? During the hurricane Ike I recorded everything, even what was heard in the radio station.

See, I for one grew up writing my thoughts since I've always been a rather quite gal. Of course they are not for the public to read, at least when I'm alive, but they are a great memory or recording of how much has change throughout my life.

Alright now, don't want to get too personal. But to all those who believe it to be obsolete or "feminine" or touchy feely, it really is not. Now I'm not sure why I'm writing about this. This was a random entry, just wanted to type something i guess. Knowing me, I'll probably have more to say after i post this...i hate when i do that...oh well, don't wan't to edit all my entrys hehe.
Anyways, I'm going to my trusted diary, or journal if you will hehe. Night!

Ps. Typed in "Diary" and found this site, pretty cool i guess...http://www.my-diary.org/

Oh not to mention, history was recorded in journals right? For example, Annie Frank. Good book too^_^ Quite the inspiration. In fact, she is who inspired me to write, even if was or is nonsence.

But hey i found this journal in Barnes and Noble and am planning to purchase it as soon as i finish this one that i am working on right now. >.^....wait just looked for it....IT'S NOT THERE!!! :( :( I must search for it now! Of course it's not about the fashion of the book,  but I have a weekness for sofcover, brown leather journals hehe. Something like this...ohh yeah.

Hurray for Diarys, i mean Journals!

Ewww, www.my-diary.org eww j/k

When I started blogging, it was at "livejournal" and I didn't call it blogging then.  I called it "writing journal entries".

Like Doogie Houser MD, at the end of every episode, he was typing his stuff on his computer.

Re: Dear Diary
I've kept a diary since the first day of high school MANY years ago.  I'm 46 now.  I get a thick spiral college rule notebook with a few pockets because as I am writing in that current journal, I cut out newspaper and magazine articles that I want to save and keep them in the pockets.  Every journal has been green since I started doing it.  There were a few years I did'nt write much, but for the past 8 years I have written TONS.  I have almost 20 volumes now, I think.. not sure.  They are VERY private, but I understand what you mean.  I like the feeling of putting pen to paper, especially if the pen is a smooth writing one.  It just FEELS good.

Re: Dear Diary
Yes indeed! I have the tendency to always switch my pens depending on the mood i am in. As in; the color, thickness and texture. I have 3 finished volumes and am working on my fourth one, but have had many before those, just lost them or left them incomplete, since i have been about 7yrs old since i started writing in a diary.
Very private indeed! No eyes but mine! Glad to hear there are people who still prefer the pen paper feel in this technological world of ours. ^.^

Re: Dear Diary
I don't think I'd care to recall my thoughts in ten years.

I do, however, write a lot on paper, because I think I write better(content wise) when I do it there.

Re: Dear Diary
It's good to write thoughts when they hit you, so any piece of paper would do so it won't be forgotten. I tend to carry a small book so i can write anything i see meaningful in the future...given if i do go back and read it...which sometimes i usually don't hehe. Good to keep though. One never knows.
