I agree, I couldn't help but smile and feel and overwhelming sense of pride when everyone started shouting "four more months." I know McCain is going to lose this race without a doubt in my mind. Obama is the best bet we have right now, and anyone who thinks otherwise is simply scared and apathetic towards our future.
That's my hope, drea...But there are so many scared and apathetic folks out there it is overwhelming to me...
Yeah, I felt great pride too...I wanna be one of the goobers in a weird old hat waving the Obama signs! (and a Hillary sign too)
All I can say is: I'd rather hope that Obama can bring about change, than know McCain won't change a thing.
I grew up with the Bush administration, so pretty much all I can remember of politics is what Bush has done. And because of that, I've never had great faith in America or the majority of the American people, but I have to tell ya, I really have faith in this election that the people have finally opened their eyes, as well as their minds to step up and do what needs to be done. (Which would be electing the best candidate, Mr. Barack Obama)

My spouse doesn't watch either. I'm one of these weirdos that gets off on this kind of thing. My dream has always been to be at a convention waving a sign. But then I'd really have to get more involved in local politics, which I do, but I'm usually the one outside protesting them ;~)
Thursday night we're supposed to join a "party" to watch Obama's speech with the Nebraska Democratic Party. Much of this kind of thing is to show a presence of support for Obama.
Of course it is (to show support)...I just want to be here at home watching...but if you go, have a good time. Being with a crowd is kind of uplifting for the acceptance speech.
I'm hoping Obama starts speaking truth to power soon, really soon. The Swift Boaters have been out doing their nasties with McCain's full support.
