things were hectic around Halloween so we did not carve the pumpkin.  One of the neighborhood squirrels decided to take it upon himself to tackle the pumpkin. It took him several days before he broke through the skin of the pumpkin. Once he did, all he did was go in and out of the pumpkin getting individual seeds, going to the top of the pumpkin, cleaning the seed off and then scurrying around the yard hiding each individual seed.  If even a third of the seeds come up in the spring we are going to have pumpkin vines all over the neighborhood.  He is very protective of the pumpkin, running several other squirrels off and chattering madly at me whenever I get too near him on the pumpkin.

Oh and as I watched him hiding his seeds I made a discovery......squirrels have furry nuts!

what a squirrel!  It reminds me to don't hessitate when thinking big -- just let it out -- go for it -- and let it happen!  thanks for the smile today.

Re: Portrait of Industry
I just hope it is not the same cute little bugger that chewed holes all in my roof which I had to replace this spring.  I have a bounty out with the neighboorhood cats for that one!

Haha!! He must have some strong teeth! I couldn't imagine chewing through wood... a pumpkin wouldn't be that bad though!
