I never understood what crazy 40 was... and I've been here a long time.
*sigh*
I dunno how many times I've explained this to people.
Crazy 40 is simple.
Crazy 40 randomly picks a person who has the "Crazy 40" plugin on their blog, and places their most recent post (at the time) in the Crazy 40 on EVERYONE'S blog who has the C40 plugin. Then, that entry REMAINS there until it receives 40 comments. When it receives 40 comments, then a new entry is picked randomly again. It's a cycle.

Huh.
Well that's weird.
I guess an entry can be on the top blogs more than once if it's within the 24 hour period or something?
I was number 5 for the same psot yesterday. Weird.

Yeah, it's very possible. Seems like in your case, it is the "Time Zone Issue" where the nominate link didn't go away for the readers who lives in time zones west of you. Congratulations!
Now if your entry was like 4 months old and it makes it in one of the current Top Blogs, then that is a different stories. Only a few blogs are known to have that ability.

Actually, I live in California, and I've noticed that the nominate links disappear for me at 9 PM every night, which would be Midnight MindSay's time, yes? So, I doubt the time zones have anything to do with anything.

You're right! The Time Zone issue "was" a case before, because here in the Central Time Zone, the nominate link was still visible when Top Blogs came along. But I'm not sure when that changed...
