Chavez & Ahmadinejad.jpg hosted for free by ImageShack

On various blogs that I participate on, I often receive negative commentary due to my Christian Right Neoconservative bent.

Incredibly one of those comments from a Slanted Left thinker implied that Hugo Chavez is doing a good thing for his Venezuelan citizens. If Venezuelans voted to reelect Chavez, why should America involve itself in Venezuelan politics or Chavez’s anti-American antics? That was pondering of a Leftie.

Apparently the Left in the West is so virulent against Bush that they do not comprehend the harm to National Security Chavez can ensue. Indeed, Chavez’s new pal President Ahmadinejad of Iran will hamper International Security. Iran is a rogue nation that has been proven to support financially and with the supply of military weapons to known terrorist organizations.

So is Chavez good for Venezuelans?

Re: Venezuela: More Corruption & Inefficiency
why are you asking me?  ask a bloody venezuelan!

chavez and mahmoud are friends because of oil.  but they are not plotting to hold the states hostage (though i have to admit, seeing someone impose trade sanctions on america would give me a perma-smile for days), they are simply showing the states that they can no longer impose sanctions on any nation that displeases them without repercussions...  they are reacting to america the way a pack of cornered wolves would react to a grizzly bear-- they are standing together in a show of strength and solidarity...  they are showing america that they can't bitch poor nations of the world around any longer without a fight...  this is not evil-- it's human...  you or i would do the same thing in their shoes... (if you can't put yourself into the shoes of another who doesn't worship god as you worship god, you simply haven't tried hard enough to do so)...  venezuelans and persians are not aliens, they are humans like you and me-- ask any doctor if you doubt this conviction...

Re: Venezuela: More Corruption & Inefficiency
Their citizens are humans like you and me, the leaders of Venezuela and Iran are a group of meglomaniac despots intent on ridding the world of Liberty and Freedom and the  rule of Law.

Any other observation that is different is taken with blinders that lead to delusion. Venezuelans and Iranians in particular are deluded in supporting their despots.

Re: Venezuela: More Corruption & Inefficiency
wow...  take a poll of your fellow inhabitants of the planet earth and they'd say that bush is the number one despot in the world (and the one that people would most like to see before a firing squad)...  are you sure you're a democrat?  you seriously sound like a communist to me...  and i thought i was supposed to be playing that role for the sake of argument...  "any view expressed that is not the official view of the state shall be treated as a declaration of war on the state and responded to in like kind..."  such are the sentiments of your rhetoric...  you'd be a very successful man in orwell's world of 1984...  a prized government employee, and a whistle-blower (aka: a snitch) of epic proportions...  you'd probably turn in your own brothers or sisters if you perceived some doubt in their declarations of love for the state...  putin would love to have more people like you...  blah, blah, blah...  you get my drift/perspective...  don't believe everything you hear on fox news...  think for yourself, as god intended.

Re: Venezuela: More Corruption & Inefficiency
It is an irony that the Left leaning West (primarily WESTERN Europe) views Bush with disdain and as a "despot." Everyone wishes to immigrate to the Bush despotism to find greater economic opportunity. OR they look to Bush if there is an outside threat to their socialist paradise, because they cannot afford to protect themselves. All the tax money is tied up in socialized medicine and welfare programs. Socialized minded Western Europe even pays the foreign Mohammedans welfare who would end democratic principles.

Friend the Orwellian thought police are alive and well already in Europe and Canada. Mohammedans commit acts of violence and call for violence and the few Christians left practicing their Western foundation are jailed for pointing out the violent tendencies of Mohammedanism. Europe and Canada calls the Mohammedan act as free speech and the Christian act as a hate crime.

Trust it is your socialist friends that would turn in my brothers and sisters for not towing the secular humanistic line.

Re: Venezuela: More Corruption & Inefficiency
Although I hate the idea of a Socialist South America (or socialism/communism in general), it is true that we need to stay out of Venezuela's affairs. As a side comment, let me say that this is a perfect example of how immoral and faulty democracy really is. Because the majority of Venezuelans voted for this crook, the rest will have to suffer from his oppressive policies.

Re: Venezuela: More Corruption & Inefficiency
Not all Democracies are created equal. An act of legislation to give a President the power of decree is Constitutionally illegal in America. Democracy works when the infrastructure is strong.
