Here are some Scriptures that solidify my thoughts (but probably draws a mask of darkness over your thoughts
).
God's Wisdom or Human Foolishness
"He who trusts in his own heart is a fool...." Proverbs 28:26
"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, 'He catches the wise in their own craftiness'; and again, 'The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.'" 1 Corinthians 3:19-20
"...the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14-15
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are saved it is the power of God. For it is written: 'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.'
"Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
"For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men." 1 Corinthians 1:18-25
"The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God.' Psalm 53:1
"Fools mock at sin, but among the upright there is favor." Proverbs 14:9
"A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart." Proverbs 18:2
"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools..." Romans 1:20-22
"The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning,
But the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.
It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools.
For like the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool.
This also is vanity." Ecclesiastes 7:4-6He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed." Proverbs 13:20
"The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise." Proverbs 12:15
241. I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason and intellect has intended for us to forgo their use.
Galileo
106. As far as you are able; join faith to reason.

2. There are a lot of reasons to be right and they’re not all mine

20. Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not: believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do: not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
Guatama Buddha

1. I think that everyone is wrong about God, including me.

9. It is more important to understand why you are wrong than why you are right.

We've had this discussion and I doubt your book and my book will agree. My book (actually God's book) is my final authority. Before you go screwing up your brows and blowing steam out your ears, I should God's book is read as a plan toward salvation and not as a cherry picking for dogma, one will find much tolerance. God is eternal, humanity is temporal. God's plan is that all people come to the Saving Knowledge of Jesus Christ. It simply is a matter of human choice. Though there are some pretty sharp men of philosophy and alternative spirituality, I am committed to The Way of Christ. All other paths are irrelevant to me. I'll find out how much of my determined faith is accurate at the next level of existence. That existence is a redeemed spirit separated from a dead body or at the Parousia a glorified body like the Lord's with my redeemed spirit.
I suggest in discussing with me you abandon objectivity (I am not trying to sound harsh). I am a subjective inner experience kind-of-guy. On the otherhand do not hesitate to post a comment on your beliefs, it keeps me sharp, honest and introspective. That is what spirituality is all about for me.

If you do, how do you add people here at Mindsay.
I am a relatively mindsay rookie.
The only way I found is by email, is that the only way?

One day on a girl friend challenge a cracked open the New Testament to berate her faith (tenderly - she was a babe). After going through the Gospels I came back to Matthew. The Sermon on the Mount made a connection experientially that sold me on a living Savior. I didn't change from sinner to saint over night though. I would actually go to parties, suck on a bong, then share this life changing passion that was affecting my inner being.
As time went on I continued to seek the Presence I experienced in the Matthew. I slowly transformed relinquishing sins as I understood that they were sins. It has been 30 years and the transformation is still on going. Each day is new and I get a little closer to God dropping of more and more weights of sin.
So there you go.
449. The question isn’t what should you do to better your life but what can you do? If you start with that, I think you might find it easier, eventually, to do what you should.
Gary O
450. I think a lot of people end up hopeless because they find it too hard to make the major changes necessary to improve their lives when if they would just start with something more simple they would have better results and find themselves more prepared to face their greater challenges later.
Gary O
451. I believe that if I make small changes in my behavior and persist in them that my life will begin to get better and that overtime I will be transformed into the person God wants me to be.
