January 30, 1798 - The first brawl in the U.S. House of Representatives was witnessed by legislators. Congressmen Matthew Lyon and Roger Griswold fought on the House floor.
Two centuries later, rumors are circulating that WWF chairman Vince McMahon is in talks with Senators John Ashcroft (R) and Edward Kennedy (D) to headline them in a Senate floor cage match to be broadcast live on C-SPAN2.
Neither senator was available for comment when the rumor went to press.
