Those of you who bravely listen to my music podcast, The RuckuS know that my favorite podcasting community on the net is PodcastPickle.com.  I'm not alone in thinking this - recently, TIME magazine also dubbed it one of the 50 coolest websites around.

And it just keeps getting cooler.

You see, one of it's fine features for a podcaster like me is of the thousands of casts listed on the site, a Top 100 list appears on the front page of the site.  This list is generated when PodcastPickle members add their favorite podcasts to their Pickle Favorites.  True, it feels good to appear in that list considering all the casts that are out there, but more importantly to me, it helps get my show noticed.  Finding it amidst all the shows out there is quite the challenge without any help one can muster from outside sources.

So what, you say?  What's so great about a Top 100 list?  Well, on top of what I've already shared, I just learned of another way this list may reach many more potential listeners.  Check out this little blurb on the latest Nokia phones.  A quick summary, though, is that it's now possible for owners of these Nokia phones to quickly access the Podcast Pickle Top 100 list and listen right from their phones!

I wanted to share that breaking news with anyone interested.  I wanted to thank those of you who as fans of the show have taken the time to set up accounts at Podcast Pickle and added me to your favorites.  At the time of this post, The RuckuS sits at #67 on the list.  Personally, I'm shocked and flattered that it's even in the Top 100, but I'm also excited at the prospect that a person just browsing podcasts on their cell phone could quite possibly find my little show and quite possibly listen to it.  And who knows?  Maybe they'll even dig it.

If you'd like to listen to my latest episode, [monstrous], you can click here and open up the file right on your PC or Mac or save it to upload to your mp3 player.  If you're so moved, consider checking out PodcastPickle and adding TheRuckuS to your favorites.  But don't do that just for me - there are tons of great casts to check out there by some very creative, talented and innovative people.

Just wanted to share.  Back to your regularly scheduled Mondays, people.

Thank you.  I love how they handle things over there with the list to keep it fair, too.  Every six months, they reset the list, which helps clear out all the podcasts that might have faded away and gives casters who are still active another chance to reconnect with fans and possibly gain a few more when everyone is re-adding their own favorites to the lists.  Can you tell I dig it there?

You deserve to be on the top 100.  I've listened to the latest edition of TheRuckus twice already.  You put together one tight show.

And for the record, you didn't scare me.  You are correct when you say that you aren't a monster.

Aww, shucks.  Thanks, AAP.   I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to listen twice.

So you're saying I shouldn't even bother trying to audition for, say, the role of the Resident Evil Nemesis?

"Well, sir, let me put it this way...you're just not...um...evil enough."

Speaking of my show (which I seem so fond of doing today), I've been throwing together some new themes.  (I've almost finished next week's show - woohoo!  I'm on a roll!)   Nomad already suggested a few for me.  I invite you, as a fan, to do the same.  Suggest one.  Challenge me if you want to.  It's an open invitation without expectation.  Whenever, if ever.   I think it'd be fun.
