I'm currently listening to one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite groups -
Bee Hives by Broken Social Scene - and I am overwhelmed.
I love music. I just can't get enough of it.
It's not so much a revelation to me that I love it. Sometimes, though, I forget just how much I do. If I were dating music, she would probably have dumped me by now, not because I don't spend enough on her (I probably spend too much!) but because I don't recognize her enough. I don't acknowledge the influence she has upon my life.
- She keeps me company at work, in my car, at home, or on walks.
- She has the power to change my mood.
- She inspires me with her ideas and her stories, her beauty and her tragedy.
- She is full of variety has the ability to excite and to calm in the same breath.
- She can move me or make me move.
And that's just a snapshot of my tragibeauty queen. I try my best to capture more pictures of her on my weekly show,
The RuckuS, and I'm always looking the feedback of longtime listeners and new listeners alike. Visit
whatistheruckus.com and click on the title of any entry that sounds appealing to download the MP3 right to your computer and give my show a listen, ok? Let me know what you think about it. Send me emails. Send me hate mail. Send me fanmail. Give me your tired, your poor, your feedback!
I'm still trying to explore ideas to Spread The RuckuS, too. I need your help. Send me your ideas or leave them as comments right here. For those who are faithful listeners, let me know if you have suggested tweaks. For those who have listened and hated it, here's your chance to tell me what you disliked. I'm closing in on my 20th episode very soon, so it's time to check in with you, the experts, on what's workin' and what needs fixin'. A special thanks to all of you who have been supportive of my little show and who listen week after week. Thanks for your
continued votes at Vital Podcasts. And if you've not done so yet, do
pin my Frappr Map! Thanks again.
Wow! That took awhile to type. My iPod has now advanced to the self titled album by
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Woohoo!
Did I mention I love music?
