So I’ve been telling people about this comic and showing them the cast listing, etc.

They’ve either rolled there eyes and slammed the door or reacted in a very positive manner.

Which is surprising in itself…

I’ve told them about the comics I’m writing and they seem to like it. Well they laughed at me...

In this case that is a good thing.

I do have a not so funny story line in the works, but my first five or six comics are basically one comic riffs on my life showing off the personality of the main characters and some of the not so main characters.

I love this, I’m excited about it and it feels good to be excited about a project. I’m so selfish, I’m doing this cause I want to put something up on the web I like that I wrote... heh..About me.

Man... I AM selfish. Ah well… Don’t worry for all you morality watchers I try my hardest to look at myself in a unique and unpartisan way ;-)

Not that I can ever really do that, me being trapped inside my body and all.
Back to the subject at hand…

I don’t know if I will every reveal the ‘real’ people behind the characters. Maybe, if they want. Honestly these characters are just based on them; I think you’ll get a good feel (From my POV anyway) of what they are like from this comic.

The names have been changed to protect the innocent of course... I might’ve said that already heh.

I’ll let you know how my friends and colleagues respond to this as the comic ramps up.

I think it’ll be amusing to see what irks and what doesn’t. Hopefully nothing really irks them, but they take it with a grain of salt.

Because salt is a good thing that keeps food fresh and tasteful :-D

Re: People responding to fictional version of themselves.
Ya know, basing characters on people that you know is a double edged sword.  At times they are flattered, other times they break out the hatchetts, pitchforks, scythes, and pitchforks.

All in all it's a rewarding experience, I must say.

Okay, I just pulled a Brimley.

Enough for now.

Later on today, I'll put my first post in my personal blog.

Hope you find it interesting.

Oh I'm sure I will..heh.
BTW I Just finished a sci fi story called "Jupiter Rising"
About how a (space) dock worker survives an attack on the building yards...

I hope most of the people will be flattered.  The others I won't tell about the comic..heh.

Juptier Rising.  Send it to me will ya?  I'm getting  into your writing for some reason.

And people flattered appearing in stories?  Only in fairy-tales I'm sorry to say.

But then again, they can go and pinch a loaf if they don't like it.

And yet on the other hand....Sometimes it's a good way to lose friends.....Heh.  Oh well, you already gained a new one in the past week.
