You can probably expect me to do a write-up of the surprisingly good 'Grosse Point Blank' at some point in the future (I know the anticipation must be overwhelming), but for now I'd just like to let you know, in case you weren't aware, that John Cusack actually used to be pretty hardcore. I guess he's pretty much resigned himself to more subtle, but no less awesome roles, such as 'Grace is Gone' and '1408', but there was a time when John Cusack could get into a fist-fight with an assassin, then kill him with a pen, and people would stand up and cheer.

Figuratively speaking.

Re: Popcorn!
I've yet to see 1408, but I read the short story and really want to see how they managed to make it a feature-length film.

Re: Popcorn!
Spoiler: they didn't. The only thing that they really took from the short story was the basic premise. I was fine with that, as the short story wouldn't work as a movie at all, but I was still pretty underwhelmed by the whole thing. I'd say that John Cusack was about the best part of it. Him and Samuel L. Jackson, I mean.

Re: Popcorn!
Watching Cusack screw around is basically the whole movie anyway. His face looking confused or scared or annoyed is 98% of the shots.
