I live in Tennessee and I have heard and once ate the salted peanuts in Pepsi. That was when I was a kid so I do not remember much about it other it itself. I think they float and they actually tasted good but that was such a long time ago. Now boiled peanuts is another story.
Oh you would love boiled peanuts. You can get them at local markets here sometimes. They are boiled shell and all and they are so good. Just talking about them makes me want to go and get some!
do an image search and you can find them. Mmmm, sortof yeah. You can buy them canned but I have never had them that way, only freshly boiled. They are addictive. You can't eat just one.
OK, when I was reeeeeeally poor I did used to eat white rice with tomato sauce (our version of ketchup). I now have two favourites that I still eat:
- Deep fried raviolli, a recipe I saw on a TV show about the city of St Louis. It's sooooo good.
- Fries, dipped in Macdonald's chocolate shake. I know it sounds yuk but it's so hot.
,{:-)
Thanks for reminding me. M sister and niece eat McDonald's french fris dipped in their vanilla shake. I've seen other people do it too!
I think ranch dressing is the ultimate addition to most foods. I also think that McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning tastes good on hot dogs, pizza, eggs, by itself, and on many things.
But I have a story too. Recently I was at a wedding where the groom's family was Amish or Menonite or something, anyway his family made all the food at the reception and they had those little sandwiches which are like turkey or ham in a roll and you have to add all the stuff in it yourself. Well I got mine all made up and I sat down at my table with a bunch of my friends and we all discovered at about the same time that there was butter on every single roll, which was really gross. And I know that was a bluster of run on sentences, but it's three in the morning so I apologize.
