no hiking/riding after when deer/pheasant season starts! gosh, you've been quiet a while. welcome back (((((((((((sojo)))))))))))))))
I think we may lay low during dove season too! Am excited about seeing a deer or fox or two though! We even saw some coyotes while trail riding one summer! Long as we don't see any BEARS!!!
(I've had a HELLUVA time keeping up with everything lately! And Lord, once I get out there on an all-day trail ride...and then too, just imagine the PHOTO excursions we could encounter out there!!!)

Sounds fantastic! Have fun, and for the sake of all you hold holy use lots of Deet and look out for ticks.
Bless yer heart Trill...we'll DO that! Good suggestion (from someone who KNOWS!)...I was so excited I hadn't even given that a thought!
Thanks, Sojo,
Only my doctor told me that I 'would ruin my spine' if I did any more riding, for my bones are no longer strong. Just another 'lovely' thing about aging. I have to take 1800 mg of calcium every day, with vit. D and Magnisium! I am just 'glad' that I can 'stand straight!' If a horse 'only walked, or cantered, I'd be fine... it's the trotting that would be the problem!

Although I don't own one, you need a Paso Fino! I've always said that if something like that happened to me, I'd get as Paso. I've ridden one a couple of times and they make the smoothest Tennessee Walker feel like a bucking bronco -- there is NOTHING smoother than a Paso! I've seen shows where the riders rode them bareback with glasses of wine balanced on the top of their hats without spilling a DROP! They're AWESOME!!!
Really? I never 'heard of that kind of a saddle! It sounds 'Great! I am going to 'write the name down' just in case, ever... thanks Sojo!
Hehe...a Paso is not a saddle Neptune...it's a specific breed of horse with a very unique gait that no other breed has. They're somewhat small...around 15 hands, have very thick manes and tails and are incredibly energetic. When they are performing their gait, their feet look like they're going in super fast forward, yet the ride from on top of their back is virtually motionless! They're incredible! Check out a Paso Fino show if you get the chance!
Actually? A Horse! Now that you mention it, I believe I saw them 'pointed out' during one of the large annual parades, that they bring to T.V. Yes, it was the Thanksgiving Day Parade, when Stephanie Edwards was still hosting it! She loves the horses also, and I remember that she made a 'special tribute' to each type of horse, as they would go by... the Paso Fino... I am sure was 'one of them! I still had no idea, that they could actually perform that gait naturally! Is that so? Or is it a gait that they must learn? I may be wrong, but did she not also point out that they originated in Spain?
E-Gads! I still 'Never ever would have thought of that as a 'possibility! Thank you so much Sooo! I just gave you another 'nickname! Because you are 'Sooo Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Love, ~Shaunasea

I wish I could go with you, but I'll look forward to your beautiful pictures. Have fun for me, too!

I think I'm going to go with progressive shades of yellows - peachy yellows, darker in the living room (where your pics are going) and then into the melon yellows in the drining room & kitchen.
One reason I haven't painted the other end of the house (only one, but a significant one) is that I cannot make up my mind what color to paint it...(I'm about as decisive as I am organized...)
