He was funny at first.


But now.......


he's not.

No, he was never funny, you just realized it.

Well the only thing I thought was funny was his little stand-up thing at the beginning of his shows.
The rest... not.

He may never have been funny, but he didn't make the jump from "unimpressive comedian" to "serious threat to my sanity" until he got that god-awful show.

Before that, he at least had a decent message: don't take life too seriously, because it's too short. It was nice, though not particularly original. But, I suppose being promoted to Comedy's Central's third-rate replacement Dave Chappelle boosted his ego, leading to the problem you have highlighted.

Now that's funny

Carlos Mencia isn't funny at all. He's got this whole "I know everything that's wrong with the US regarding social inequality and foreign policy" thing going on.

That is really annoying to me, Kat. IT IS SO ANNOYING I THINK I COULD DESTROY HIM.

I'm begging you. You've got to.

The like two times I've tried to watch his show I felt really dumb because I wasn't laughing.. but yay!  I'm not dumb!!!

You know what I always found annoying? He changed his name to Carlos to sound more ethnic. or to give him more stage cred. or whatever. But his real first name is Ned. Definitely not hispanic enough to make fun of them.

Thank god, I saw Carlos Mencia and the word funnier in the blog reply box and I thought there was something horribly wrong.  However it appears he's still not funny and all is right with the world after all, in that there's nothing else horribly wrong in addition to all the previously existing shit.

Whew, yeah, no, we're all in agreement here.
