
i was working like i always do, kinda feeling run-down, when my manager pulled me from the putty table and said that he was going to give me my review.
Me: *ok, sweet! i get it a week early!* nodding
I follow paul to his office and he goes through everything on the review. he first tells me that he got input from sue and larry and some of it is from what he's seen himself, but mostly from sue. he also said that he doesn't like making things negative, but rather chooses to give a suggestion as to how to better myself. he's really pushing for me to learn the tenoner and the costa, which i'm REALLY excited about! i am going to be cautious about this bc from what i remember, i was told that last yr, and it never really happened with the costa. the tenoner was an exception when todd wasn't around and mark was flat out honest that he wanted me to be on the tenoner when todd wasn't there. neway, back to my review. i got 2's and 3's which are very good for me. He suggested things that i can work on, like pushing out more product and looking closer at doors. well, getting to the end of it, he told me how much i'll be making now. and people are going to hate me. $12.20! the most i've ever made in my life! if i was on day shift, i'd be $11.20, which i'm not going to complain! i got all possitive things on my review and paul seems to really want me to be in the leadership form. even mentioning that i've trained people in, 3 to be exact, really helped with it too. and sue being gone the past 2 weeks, couldn't say shit! NAHAHA! lol.
well, its given me the push to better myself, like he said, some things need a little more work then others. he also said that i'm the kind of person that they need in my area. not only because i'm the average worker and have a very good understanding of everything, but that i'm very positive about working. he sees that i smile and laugh and thats something that our area needs because the numbers in hinging were tanked. everywhere else did great jobs, but we also had a 90-something piece job that had to go back and get reshaped bc it was too freakin big. which really pissed donny off. neway, we left a bit for them to do, only bc they leave us shit all the time. it may not be ncie of me to say this, but its only fair. they don't completely clean the floor, so we make it ncie and pretty and THEN leave them shit. nahaha...
