Let me get this straight.  A politician resigns from office and, on the basis of that fact, is judged to be unqualified for any office?  Did I miss something?  Plenty of people have resigned from office for both honorable and dishonorable reasons.  From what I understand from her remarks, she was not willing to be distracted by all her political foes who have it in for her (you too, I suspect) and who will keep pelting her with one "ethics" complaint after another.  None have been found to have a shred of merit; never mind that, I guess.  Anyhow, when and if she declares for office and begins taking stands on this or that issue, criticize those all day long if you like.  But methinks some are protesting too much.  Could it be they're scared of her and can't allow her to gain a foothold in the public's mind?  Naaah, couldn't be that.

It's just yet another desperate attempt  (death throes) of the Conservative Republican clan. They want to keep the attention of some percentage of their base of small-minded, intolerant Bible-thumpers. She's  not any more less qualified for higher office as she was before this stunt. And I'm sure all here PR people are bitching and moaning over their bad timing, being smothered by the whole MJ fiasco frenzy.

As far as jacksez statement about only judging her "taking stands" when she does so... she already has. Remember the campaign trail and the Palin mania and her thousands of hours of network news coverage flapping her uninformed gums on every issue? That was scary enough. That was her trial. She does have a foothold in the public mind... she's another famous idiot.
