If you’re under the age of 12...you shouldn’t even read this, and if you do, you should not repost this.
Just because you were born in ’97 doesn’t mean you’re a 90’s kid.
It’s not like you could remember the original Simpsons.
I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90’s just won't cut it.
I've taken the liberty in highlighting everything that I can totally relate to.
You’re a 90’s kid if:
You remember watching
-Kenan and Kel
-Doug
-Ren & Stimpy
-Pinky and the Brain
-AAAAAAAH Real Monsters!
-Rockos Modern Life
-Animaniacs
-Gargoyles
-Rocket Power
You’ve ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!"
You just can't resist finishing this: "In west Philadelphia born and raised"
You remember:
-Step by Step
-Family Matters
-Dinosaurs
-Boy Meets World
You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons

When everything was settled by:
-Rock paper scissors or
-Bubble gum bubble gum in a dish or
-Ms. Mary Mack

You had a favourite song of ALL TIME.
Then, you used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVOURITE song of ALL time on a tape
You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Genesis became popular
You remember The Original Game Boy
You always wanted to send in a tape to America’s Funniest Home Videos but never taped anything funny

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand
You collected those Beanie Babies
Carebears
Silver dollars, which were cool to have
Everyone watched the WB
You even know what an original walkman is
You know the Macarena by heart
"Talk to the hand"
You went to McDonald’s to play in the playplace
Before the MySpace frenzy
Before the Internet & text messaging
Before Sidekicks & iPods
Before PlayStation3 or X-BOX 360
Before Spongebob
When light up sneakers were cool
When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs
When gas was under a dollar a gallon
When we recorded stuff on VCR
You had slap bracelets
You actually played outside until it was dark
Way back
Before we realized all this would eventually disappear.
...Geez this made my day. =D
And although I didn't highlight everything, I DEFINITELY rememeber all of these.
I hope alot of that white stuff you didnt highlight you knew. cause those shows you didnt highlight were amazing. and slap bracelets were mad cool. and come on, carebears was like the most amazing show. when were you born?
Oh no, I remember alllll of it, i just didnt watch it all. =)
You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Genesis became popular
Hell, I remember when the Atari 2600 became popular.
I guess this is one of those times I remember that I turned 16 in 1979.
I remember that too. I remember playing the Atari over at my uncle's house. He's still got it and refuses to part with it. Lol!
I fondly remember...I think it was called Adventure--you were a little square, and you had to find the Chalice or something, while avoiding three dragons that looked like mutated stick-ducks. Ah, the '80s.
I don't think I remember that one. The ones I fondly remember is SpiderMan and Pitfall. I loved the 80's. Lol!
I didn't have SpiderMan, but I had Pitfall all right. I never made it to the end, though, if there was one.
Dude, I have a little handheld Pitfall. I loved that game. =D
Is there an end? I never found an end.
I don't think there's an end. And shaz, now I've gotta get batteries so I can play it again! =DDD
Hey hey hey! I know that game!!! The figures were so mutated!!! XD
Yeah, the dragons were pretty sad-looking, and the bat looked like a butterfly with an attitude problem. But what was funny was that every so often one of those sad-looking chicken-dragons would get you, and then the bad-ass butterfly would pick up the dragon, and then the three of you would go flying around the castle--the bat, holding the dragon, with the little square you in its stomach.
Oh yeah! I got a kick out of you being a square in that chicken-dragon! XDXDXDXD I don't know if I ever got far enough to see the distorted bat though. =\ Makes me wanna play my Atari now so I can get that far. =P
My goal was to get everything into the last room. All three dragons--if you maneuvered it right you could kill them all with one <-- shot and their bodies would be superimposed with the arrow/sword stuck through them. And all the keys, and the bridge. Then get the bat from the top and maneuver it so that it gets the chalice from the top. When you go in and win, everything flashes to the point it would probably kick an epileptic into a seizure. (So, of course, if you have epilepsy, don't do it.)
OMG, I REALLY wanna play now!!! Damn!!! *Writes down tips on arm* Damn it, I want cereal now too. You're an evil man.
Sure, blame me for the War of 1812 too, why don'tcha.
Oh man, so classic. Hey, I still like playing Pong!
Pong is actually even older than the 2600--that goes back to the early or mid-'70s. I had one of those, too. Yeah, it's still pretty cool--proof that sometimes simpler is better.
Oh definitely man, in many ways. I enjoy the simple things. I'm still trying to find a Nintendo 64 in fact.
My first ex-wife had an NES--that was one of the reasons I married her--and while we were married we got the next generation (I don't remember what they were called). Super Mario in various incarnations, and the bane of my existence--Pipe Dream. One time I got such a high score on Pipe Dream that I actually went and woke her up and made her come see...which was maybe one of the reasons she unmarried me.
You married her for a consel!!! LOFL!! =P
And she divorced you for lack of sleep!! LMFMFAO!! Cheese-its.
Man, Super Mario is my existence man. I love it more than anything!!!
And she divorced you for lack of sleep!!
She was groggy, and obviously using poor judgment....
Oh is that your excuse? XD
Or I could admit that I'm a pathetic loser who will die alone...but "she was groggy, and obviously using poor judgment" somehow sounds better.
Somehow, eh. Ahhhhhh, you must not be doing everything wrong if you can get people to marry you.
Yeah...but eventually the sedative wears off and they freak out.
XDXDXD You resort to date rape yet? =P
That would require me to be able to get a date....
XD Man, you know it all don't you?
Psh, well, at least you're still, like, dating, right?
At the moment I'm taking a decade or two off. After that...well, I'm told the nursing homes are just full of widows looking for 60-something studs.
XD Oh damn, I knew you'd have something witty to say.
Sometimes I go 50% and say something half-witty.
XD Well it doesn't take much to make me laugh...
Born in 1987, I am the definition of 90's kid.
Pogs... oh man, Pogs.
Totally dude, totally. I wasn't even alive in the 80's and I prefer that decade over any anyday. =D
I was born in 1983, and I was still a '90s kid, LOL
I was born in '80. I must be an "80's" kid!
What is the 63 for then? I am an '80s kid too, but I know a lot of the '90s cultural references as far as children's entertainment goes as well. I was too old for that stuff, but I still knew it! lol
It's the color and year of a car I own. (cheesy, I know!)
Not cheesy =) Cheesy is trying to French-ify your name for a handle on a blogging website! lol
Right on man! Totally! XD
what do they call someone born in this decade, a 00's kid?
That is a damn good question.
The millenial babies, you think?
Or Jailbait.
That is a good question. I've never heard that though, but I wondered what they were gonna call them.
