For the summer I am to spend a week at a time with each parent. I just finished my first full week with mum on Monday (which is the longest I've been with her in almost a year. Sad, huh?). It was alright. I did get sweet-ass rainboots out of it. :D But, to sum up the majority of my week, I mostly cleaned, watched Degrassi, steal time to text on her phone, and clean some more. On top of that, my barren room is an oven and I didn't have all the neccessary stuff I needed that I had packed. Hopefully my second time will be better.
hehe cute rainboots you got eh?
Yes!!! I love them!! I haven't had rainboots since I was like 5!
well it's time to celebrate and dance to Frank Sintra Singing in the Rain routune!
Oh man I gotta do that!!! But I still gotta get a trench to wear with my black dress and tights! =D
who I like that idea ^_~ lol
Hahaha, so do I, which is why I'm gonna do it!
Won't happen till winter, but I know I'll be a camera whore and take lots of pics. =P
but do it now it'll get you hawt and sweaty ^_~ lol
I absolutely hate heat!!! So no freaking way!!! =OOO
haha yeah that would be crazy but in fact that I am ^_^ how was your day hun?
It's okay, I'm crazy too. =P Well, I just spent the week with mum so now I'm with dad again. Yay. ^_^
haha yeah I was wondering why I haven't heard from you yet
Most people who don't know the sitch do.
Hopefully, 2nd time's a charm!
Hopefully. Gotta have some fun there.
do you have a fan or A.C. for the hot room?
Fuck not yet. She said though that by the time I come back I'll have an AC. I so hope so, especially since she stole my TV and box out of my room to use in the kitchen. Made me mad.
stand up for your rights! especially since she put you to work!
I should go picket in the front yard with the dog and kitten.
Haha, that would be funny, you could strap a small picket sign to the top of them, to parade around.
Yes I should!!! "No pay No work!!" "Dishes for TV!" "Stop child labour homes!!"
XD
does she live here in the Big Valley?
Few miles from me, yes. And oh man, the haze really is so bad here. I heard like 70% of Cali's on fire, but that just seems like too much. The air is just rediculous.
70% is under the cover of a fire..not actually burning but hazed out from the fire
Oh okay, that's much more logical. Damn. Anyone you know have to evacuate yet?
My friends in the Santa Cruz mountains did earlier this month
Oh man. Was everything okay in the end?
fire missed their place by 1 MILE..
too close..
it's a dog ranch, and they were ready to evac all 30 of their dogs
Damn, what would they put them in for evac??? Crazy. I would be devastated if we had to evac and couldn't take our animals. 0_0
each dog in a travel crate, on the back of a flatbed truck
Oh well, we don't have a truck, so now what? 0_x
I know!!! I eventually wanna watch EVERY episode from start to finish.
Yeah, it's too tiring to try to watch when they're all weekend till like 5 am. but I do too
Oh I know, they have those crazy all weekend marathons... I think I'm starting to get my mum into it. =P
haha fun stuff! My mom watched the original one, so sometimes she asks whats up with Spike, Snake, Joey, etc.
Lol, nice!!! Yeah, mum was watching and then she'd leave and come back and ask what she missed and junk. =P
Do you feel a little like a tennis ball?
A little would be an understatement. I feel like like a tennis ball made of meat.
Yeah, I'm sure. They get their divorce; you get to be collateral damage.
Try not to let it get you down, hon...though I know that can be hard.
Great way of putting it man.I'm tryin' I'm tryin', and doing good for the most part.
Good. Tryin' is all you can do.
My parents never broke up, but they hit a patch when I was about 8 that made them come close. So while I never quite experienced what you are now, I have at least an inkling of what the runnup to it can be like.
(The best thing about my own failed marriages is that we had no one to hurt but ourselved--Ex-Wife#2 had a couple kids, but they never thought of me as Dad or anything.)
An inkling works too. It's just harder because I'm old enough to fully know and experience what's going on.
Very true. Although you've gotten divorced, it is good you had no kids together. That makes things harder.
Yeah...that may make it harder in some ways. If I'd been your age I suspect I would have really unloaded on both of mine, and I don't know if that would have made things better or worse.
I remember telling myself about a year or so ago that if they broke up like this I was gonna drive away all the men my mum brought home. I haven't done that though...
Yeah...that wouldn't really help.
Don't hate them, hon. They may be selfish and/or self-centered, but I know from experience that no matter how much you think you want that divorce it hurts you. A first divorce especially breaks something in you that never quite gets fixed again.
Well, this was my mum's first, and my dad's second. Kinda makes me think of Ross Gellar from Friends.
A first divorce feels kind of like you've just crashed with the plane. A second divorce feels more like you just ejected from the aircraft--you wave bye-bye as it falls to Earth without you.
A third divorce...I'm guessing that would feel like you decided to cancel your flight, just in case.
That is a very good way of putting it. I think I will quote that.
