Heeeyyyyyyy!!! what you got against big momma???
I think you're missing the point -- I'm arguing for the Oscars to give the people what they want. If they want to see Martin Lawrence in drag? If they consider that art? So be it!

Oh, okay... yeah... I missed the point. (I actually liked Robert DeNiro in drag better in Stardust.) If you're going to dumb-down America, just go all the way.
So that is what they are calling meth these days... MethSay, MindSay, I totally see the correlation here!
Who is your dealer, huh? Adam? It would only make sense. This whole site is nothing but druggies, and nobody told me!
.I like Atonement... sigh.
.I agree with your point about the Oscars, but I have to say... A lot of the movies nominated are simply better-made films. It's not really about the audience favorites. It's about the best film. I'll also say, Juno was an audience favorite that, although a little eccentric, was not so arts-i-fied. It was also nominated for best picture and best original screenplay, I believe.
.And Norbit was nominated for Best Makeup. Ratatouille for Best Full-length Animated Film. I'm just thinking of movies that weren't arthouse.
