Hell, I bet I didn't even have to remind you!  You've been prepared for the past two years!

You know -- of all of the banners I made, that one still remains my favorite.

I liked it the best, too. Like, obviously.

Re: Asarah b'Tevet is tomorrow.

How many holy days are there in the Jewish calendar? I suppose every day is the anniversary of some sacred or significant event. That's how it is in the Christian calendar. I suppose it's true of the Babylonian people, too. Or are the Babylonians extinct? I wonder if anyone still commemorates the day of their extinction? Then there is the "my" people, "your" people, "their" people, "those" people business. How many "peoples" are there, I wonder? Can we access a list somewhere? How many distinct "peoples" are there among the humans we call "American Indians," for example? A hundred? A thousand? Most are probably not worth remembering, though? Their "defeats" are best forgotten? I suppose many calendar days have overlapping holy days, much like "holy" sites in Jerusalem. We'd have to determine which "holiness" takes precedence. In the United States, Jewish holy days get quite a lot of attention, relatively speaking, much more than Moslem holy days, for instance. I don't think Ramadan gets quite the attention that Hanukkah does, or Yom Kippur. I know many African Americans feel their "holocaust" of transatlantic slavery has still not received its public due.Maybe it would all have to begin with a list of "peoples." I looked up the verses in Kings. It appears that "The Lord" had quite a bit to do with the destruction commemorated, eh? What's up with that?

your gift's in the mail.  it should get there by tomorrow.  if it never shows up, it's probably because the mail staff is boycotting the war on christmas.

May this fasting bring you even closer to God. Wishing you well and missing you.
