Just last week McCain continually referred to Czechoslovakia, a country that hasn't existed since 1993.

This morning on Good Morning America when asked by Diane Sawyer whether the "the situation in Afghanistan is precarious and urgent," McCain responded: "I think it's serious. . . . It's a serious situation, but there's a lot of things we need to do. We have a lot of work to do and I'm afraid it's a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq/Pakistan border."

Sorry John, brush up on your geography.   Iraq and Pakistan don't share a border.  So much for his self proclaimed expertise on foreign policy.  We certainly don't need another president who would invade the wrong country.

Yikes, I don't usually watch him speak. It is painful. What a dummy. But he wears a flag pin and probably holds his hand on his heart during the National Anthem, so he must be O K.

right!
that's why I wrote my blog about having nothing nice to say, so saying nothing.

I think it's utterly silly to trash Obama for that (which may or may not have even happened) none the less. Yet forgiving blunders like that by Mccain?  People scare me.  Your voting populace is kinda frightening.

Hey, it's America what can I say. My passport is expired but I found out I can order a passport CARD through the mail that will get me into Canada. I'd better hurry and get it in case I have to beat a hasty retreat.

Wow. Ouch.

I think its habitual for presidents to confuse their "A" countries with their "I" countries.

Republican ones anyway.

It's O K. I wouldn't have removed you from my friends list if you hadn't said that. But I do like you even more. I'm shallow.

Yes, but it was mostly because I didn't quite understand the structure of the competition than a lack of knowledge.

To quote the Christmas Story:  "Oh fuuuuuuuddggge"  (not another one!)

BTW, Shade, with our real estate, you are not gonna be my next-door neighbor, but howsabout renting a place nearby sometime for a month or so (waaaaay cheaper than buying) and then you can REALLY be in a Blue area.  California is running 24 percentage points ABOVE

Re: Is McCain smarter than a fifth grader? ...Well, no
Damn, my nail hit the wrong key and I wasn't finished.  Anyway, Obama is 24% above McCain here in California.  I would be in Northern California he is running 100% above McCain (or almost) ;~)

Sounds fun, but the farthest west we ever get is the gulf coast of Texas.

Re: Is McCain smarter than a fifth grader? ...Well, no
We actually have friends who get to your neighborhood (from Kansas) every year. They hit the wine country and visit their son who is somewhere in the silicon valley. Who knows.

Re: Is McCain smarter than a fifth grader? ...Well, no
Silicon Valley is around 3 hours south of here.  Not quite wine country - more like computer country ;~)  But still...close enough for a drive and stay-overnight!

Re: Is McCain smarter than a fifth grader? ...Well, no
We know that... even in Nebraska.    They like wine country and they stay in a bed and breakfast.  THEN they visit the son.

Hope you guys are doing good.

Re: Is McCain smarter than a fifth grader? ...Well, no
Aha...I shoulda known ;~)  Where do they stay?  Do you know?  Most people who visit wine country go to Napa (right over the mountain - next county - 45 minutes away).  We are Sonoma County.  As we like to joke - "Napa makes auto parts - Sonoma makes wine"

We're OK.  Hit bottom yesterday.  I was sooooo tired.  I'm better today, thanks!
