I used to have to cook meals for 10 everyday and get three kids ready for school every morning.

Weird since I don't have kids myself...

Weird? No kidding! How in the world did that happen?

I helped my brother raise his kids for 4 years. This is when his marriage was ending and his first wife took off after some internet studs *cough cough* and left the kids with my brother and I.

We ended up living with a friend of ours who had a wife and a kid. Plus they had two renters...

So it was My Brother, Myself, his three kids, The renters (Two) and our friends family (three)  10 people.

..In a five bedroom house.  Thank God it didn't last long....

We moved back here, he has since been remarried, and I live on my own in a trailer. First time in like 10 years I've lived by myself...  Anyway that's how it happened ;-)

 I congratulate myself in that I prepared the party without one single hitch! Amazing how many people agreed to show on such short notice (a development I accredit to my fabulous powers of persuasion). Bennie, of course, was thrilled and showed his gratitude by not agreeing to do anything birthday-ish and sat in his seat looking like a complete grouch. But that's just Bennie all over. He has a hard time showing his joy over anyone putting him in the spotlight... but I know he likes it.
