Wow. Fires can be really frightening. Glad you got it put out with a minimum of trouble--right? I mean, other than the fire extinguisher powder.
How many fires have you started in your kitchen in the last year? Just askin'....

I told Spousal Unit what you said and he said: Technically, you've only done it once this year. The other time was last year.
Then he said: Tell him you played that Fire in the Kitchen Card early this year.
Yeah. So I'm just passing that along. And now, it's back to making the kitchen safe for clean dishes once again. Ew.

Oh, that's right! That's how you got the new cabinets, right? So what were you shooting for this time? New light fixture, new dishwasher, new oven?
Ha!
Nah, the new cabinet were in the works long before the fire. lol
A new oven will be necessary, certainly, before this house is sold in the future. 'til then, we'll just clean it out and start over. lol
I hope you're having a lovely Friday!

oh, what a mess! i'm sorry you had to go through that...altho' the meece want to know if there was any uncharred chicken left.....
Tell the meece that it's all blacker than charcoal in the oven. It'll take a HazMat team just to remove the roasting pan. <smile>
<grin> Hawaiian barbecue chicken? (Spousal Unit's preference. CR prefers cheese only and Cyclone prefers pepperoni.... Oh, our pizza orders are amusing.)
they said they'd have two slices of everything, and to please ship overnight. at least they said please.
What's the difference between baking and roasting chicken?
I think I just bake chicken... Pan, foil, etc.

Baking a chicken is done to "parts," of a whole (or pieces grouped) wherein the pieces are seasoned and baked without basting, etc. Roasting is done at a lower temperature, with basting (usually) and it takes hours. <smile>
I have no idea. I successfully roasted chickens for several years before the conflagrations that have erupted recently.
Oh no, I remember your last fire. Not a good experience to repeat, and to clean everything in the kitchen cabinets!?! You poor thing. I hope CR gets over his fright soon. ((((CR))))
So fun to select electives! The Class of 2012. You and I have a fun four years ahead of us.
I was thinking of you while filling out the registration stuff, wondering what the Hapster had to juggle. lol
Ah, we are not on the musical track, so we had to pick our way through the visual arts... Oh, dear. <smile>
I think we have beginning weightlifting for PE and drawing/painting 1? I reminded him he needs the language, but he is putting it in as an alternate. He has to take it all eventually anyway. <smile>

Oh my goodness, that sounds like more excitement that you really needed. I'm glad it all got cleaned up, but you must have had an unhappy boy there.
It really does. Especially when you get to eat on the Parental Bed with your programs of choice on the TV.
