Wow, this ^toolbar^  is looking different...

*crickets*

I am here at the behest of tootboy, who is celebrating his twelfth wedding anniversary today.

He's one of my Very Best Friends in the Whole World, so I am here on the reunion tour.  For a brief one-shot of a moment.  Probably.

I'm trying to think of what to say that might be of interest.  Things that might freak you out, maybe?  Things that would make you cheer for my kids?  A Pride and Prejudice fan fiction?  Other fan fiction?

Hmmm?

I can say that it's been a weird year without blogging.  I relocated to Facebook where I hung out for a few months. I'm still there...I'm just not THERE there. Not as much as I was. I found myself disappearing for extensive periods of time, taking surveys and quizzes and so forth...

So I slipped out to disconnect for a while. My brain sort of needed to go all tortoise (as any passersby may remember) during the summer and it sorta...stuck.

MindSay has huge memories for me. I've met some of the COOLEST people and some AMAZING friends, here.  Generous hearts and souls that I still talk to, some I look for in other places online, and sometimes I even find y'all...

Scary, no?

It's been weird, not blogging.  I have finally stopped saying, "I've gotta blog about that."  It took more eight months for that to stop being the first impulse in my brain whenever something cool happened. On the other hand, Cyclone (numbah one son) is relieved. ;-)

***Waves madly at everyone.***

I can hear you!

... I'm not a fan of the toolbar, and I can't post pictures

But it's so good to see you here.

Boo! No pics???  *rude noise*  Well that's no fun.

Good to see you, too!

I totally used them for you, haha. They are warranted this week

I love having history.

Re: Can you hear me now?
the best way to post pics, dessie, is to put them on flickr or any of those sites, copy and then paste them.

Hi, Smurfy!  Thanks!   Is all well with you?

Re: Can you hear me now?
Absolutely. I've been amazed at the response my little reunion thing has had.

I take the virtual hat off to you.

Re: Can you hear me now?
So it was YOU that started this? I thought it was Roger! Well anyway...it was a BRILLIANT idea! I had forgotten what affection this place holds for me. I've missed it. Wonder how many will come back after this little reunion? Again, FRABULOUS idea!

Re: Can you hear me now?
I wanted to get a bunch of old faces back in the community, if anything else but to catch up and reminisce. I believe I'm going to set it up as a yearly event, like a big family reunion.

Hopefully some of the people will stick, bring in some new faces, and we'll just re-vitalize the whole network.

It appears that Adam and Dustball have deserted camp!

They don't give a crap about this place. It's like an abandoned college project now or something.

"The more things change the more they stay the same."

I call bull.  Kinda sucks a bit to post and not really have any new cool people (RARELY) find their way over.  Which is to say it's nice to see ol... excuse me, long-time friendly faces back.

Re: Can you hear me now?
Old is good. *laughing* My hair is a lot more gray than it used to be!  It is weird for me to think I started blogging here when I was <cough> still in my thirties...

So you haven't found a cool new/young audience?  As talented as you are? How about in other venues/media?

Re: Can you hear me now?
You?  Gray?  Surely you don't rely upon Revlon just quite yet.  I've found (and stricken from my head) my first gray this summer... none since.  Unless they're partying on the back of my head.

No, not really.  One kid, eddiec, really reminds me quite a bit of Jesse for some reason.  I haven't quite found an audience in new venues just quite yet.  I'm making inroads, however.  And quickly.

Re: Can you hear me now?
Nope, no hair color. I just let it go gray. LOL  It's in threads, though, not streaks.

I'm glad you're making inroads. You have much that is worth sharing.

Re: Can you hear me now?
If it were in streaks it may look more like you've survived a lightning strike.

I'd like to believe so but it's up to the reader to make that determination.  Audience dictates value of information... if you know what I mean.

Re: Can you hear me now?
I can see how one might say so, but as a self-published author and one who is published under other names in other venues, I can only say that I believe what I have to say is valid regardless of the audience I appear to have garnered.  The inherent worth of my words does not lie on the audience, but on the words and the spirit behind them, in my life.

I cannot control anything other than what I produce.  Everything else is out of my hands...which is a relief, or I'd be so enormously depressed.lol

Re: Can you hear me now?
Oh, I understand what you're saying and yes, I do agree.   But until the words find an audience that is willing to do anything with what you're saying, well... you're just playing tennis with a wall.  You can keep playing but you'll always lose because you'll never be as good as the wall.
