"I hear the screaming voices
Asking if this how God shows his love"
God showed his love by sending you to carry them - or you showed your love by going into that battlefield yourself to carry them.
I don't think any being is all powerful - if that were so (and this being meant well), pain and problems wouldn't exist, we wouldn't have to suffer in order to learn, we wouldn't be vulnerable, and we wouldn't even be bored by the lack of activity or desire, everyone would be totally at peace
Yeah I know what you're saying. I was trying to write that part as if it were the reactions of the ones that this person loved. I know that people are willing to ask almost anythign when faced with the loss of someone they cared deeply for. And I know that "Is God real" or "Does God care" are most commonly asked.
Because people hold God responsable, and he would be if he had control over life+death and sufferring, but I'm not sure he does. Because death depends on the physical state of the body - and certain types of sufferring happen because of human free will (which being free will, isn't controlled by any other being)
I think if God is the loving + good side of people, then it only has as much grip on that person as their good nature and concience does, if God is love, he has no say in the presence of hatred or prejudice

(I think spirits have power over the mind, but no say in the physical - that makes me wonder about the living, because they break that rule)
I understand what you're saying, but I personally would have to say, that it would be more like influence than power. The reason I say this is because the mind performs all the complex functions of your body. So if they actually had power over your mind then in turn they would have power over your body as well.
That's how I mean, I don't think of power as being forceful,or controlling of actions - that's just one form of power, but it's become the most commonly thought one. I think influence is as much a form of power too - not direct and not guaranteed, but often works. Come to think of it the controlling form of power isn't guaranteed either because it can be resisted because it's a clash of wills - ultimately nobody can force you to do anything, but they can inflict consequences on you
