VERY GOOD. I LOVED THIS!
Thank you. It was deeply personal for me and is very reflective of my life with my family and friends. I am always there for them, but I don't even want to tell you how many numbers I have to call just to get someone to pick me up from the hospital after I have had surgery. (that, of course, was BEFORE I got married). Now he is the ONLY one I can call...and even then, between his son and sometimes his mother, I better damn well wait my turn.
I have been there, you are the go to one but who do you go to when you need something. I don't think we can change overnight, but we can began to care about us as much as we care about others. Check out overcommer , she speaks about this. I wish you the best on your entry.
Thank you. I am working on putting together a book of my poetry. Actually, I am working on several writing projects. I am about 5 chapters away from finishing my first novel, I am working on a collection of essays (some of which are in blogs that I have all over the place). I am also building my own website to showcase my writing, offer writer's workshops, and proofreading services. I am thinking about publishing my novel online on my own rather than trying to get a traditional publisher. If it does well enough on the web, the publishers may come to me...and if they don't, then I get to keep all of the money from my online sales and I can publish hardcopies of it myself. The only career I want is to be a writer and work with other writers.
