I love hummus! Too bad I usually end up tossing some because I'm the only one in the house that eats it. Got a good recipe for pita bread?
Any suggestions for good herbs for Labneh?

I do have some pita recipes, but I haven't a baking stone, so I was waiting until I got one to try the recipe. I wouldn't feel right about passing on a recipe I haven't tried, but you can find all kinds of pita recipes on the web.
Right now I am using Ezekiel Bread Pita from Whole Foods, and I cut them into wedges, sprinkle them with olive oil and a bit of garlic salt. Then I put them in a 250 degree oven until they are crisp.
I used Herbs de Provence, which consists of winter savory, thyme, rosemary, basil, tarragon and lavender flowers. I love basil, and would probably put it on ice cream if you let me. Oh, and crushed fresh garlic goes very nicely in this cheese.
P.S. I'm on day two of making neufchatel cheese, and boy is that an adventure. I'll post it when I see how it all turns out.
LOL, I always feel funny about eating Lavender... I always feel like it should be in a bath and not in my food

I love lavender so much that I was thrilled to discover you could eat it! But it was just a tad weird to me at first, too.
