Buying tickets to sporting events has never been easier, with the advent of online ticket brokers. It can also get confusing since there are so many ticket brokers to choose from. Most of the brokers will advertise "cheap tickets" or "best prices" for their goods. But the reality is that most of these ticket brokers are selling from the same pool of inventory and therefore are going to have access to the same tickets for the same prices (or thereabouts).
Online ticket brokers are NOT usually the owners of the tickets. The ticket owners are usually people who just cannot make the game, concert or event and put them up for sell. Depending on where they list them, they will get listed in an inventory system that online ticket brokers pull their inventory from. The first broker to sell them gets the money plus their markup.
So, for the most part, the prices from broker to broker will be about the same. The difference is going to be the markup for their service and the reliability and trustworthiness of their service. With that said, your best bet will be to use a trusted source such as StubHub, TicketNetwork, etc.
