I dont understand your stance. He raped children and the only thing he will do is die. The pain he inflicted will live on through siblings of victims, parents,classmates and family. This thing simply dies and he knows why.

Treatment. Restitution to society. You know, the things that differentiate OUR penal and justice system from that of the barbaric past.

It has nothing to do with second chances.

It has everything to do with "Cruel and unusual punishment" under the Constitution.

Our legal system does not execute anyone for any offense less than Murder; ie, a capital offense.

I understand where you are coming from with the need to help those people who can't help why they do the things they do.  But I do not see why you are so upset why someone who is this big of a monster is going to die?  I know it is my stance and not yours which is is our right to have different opinions, but in this particular case I am in total agreement.  Perhaps if some of our so called socially advanced countries would bring back the corpral punishment more often towards people like this, we wouldn't have some much sickness in the world. More often than not we let people who reoffend repeatdly back out to prey on people and we do this because we are more advanced.  We have no care for what the victim has been put through, we have no care that more often than not the crime will be repeated causing new victims.

I am pointing out the difference in legal system.

In our culture- a death sentence for anything short of actual murder falls under "cruel and inhumane punishment" except for treason (see our Constitution).

Here's a rather sick thing that occurs in our culture; pedophiles, sex offenders and the like are easy punching bags for people in society. All sorts of stupid things get said about what should happen to them; these people do not care to address the actual problem of sex offenders, but rather, want to satiate their own vengeance mentality.

Executing sex offenders will not stop the next child from being molested. Treatment and therapy however, will.
