Almost two in one night.

I was getting my haircut tonight and the lady shrieked and got a tissue and wiped my neck. Apparently she accidentally cut me, but I didn't even feel it which was weird.

Then after, I went across the street to get some profiteroles a lovely French dessert that I hadn't tried yet.

On my way back, I had to cross the street. I had five seconds left to cross the street and I made a decision and jumped in the street. The car in the right hand lane was not moving and did not have their signal on. But as soon as I jumped in the street they started moving (even though I was right at the corner). Luckily they saw me at the last second. OR ELSE I COULD BE DEAD!!! GEEE!!!! I hate it when people don't use their signal.  I guess I should be more careful about crossing in the future too.  I usually make eye-contact with drivers if I'm walking, but then again, I didn't know he planned to turn (I think he really wanted to run someone over).

So anyway, I come home. And I look in the mirror. Man, the cut on my neck looks like vampire bites!! How did I not feel it at all.  There are like two red marks. Ha. ha. Well, so the neck injury isn't a near death experience, but whatever.  I thought I'd include it in the story. I rubbed coconut oil on it, because it is supposed to heal stuff like that. We'll see!

Oh my! Glad you're ok. Hope the profiteroles were worth risking your life for.

Oh, they were kind of on the expensive side, but really good. But - I bit into one in the car. Bad idea. I had never had one before, so I didn't know what to expect. It was like a chocolate bomb, it went everywhere. On my face on my shirt, on my jacket. wow. Yeah, so I ate the rest at home and changed my clothes. Overall, a very crazy experience. But I will be more careful next time...

There's still time -- the cut on your neck could develop a deadly infection!  LOL not funny, I know.  Make sure you disinfect it well.  Who knows where those scissors have been.

Re: Near Death Experiences
Oh yes!! I did put some stuff on it. And I put some coconut oil on it too. And my (roommate's) cat scratched me last night soon after this post, disinfected my arm too. What is up with all these things happening in the same night?

Re: Near Death Experiences
Oh it's a Frenchie thing. They were playing Carla Bruni in the restaurant. That was nearly the last song I ever heard.

Well I heard someone recommend profiteroles and like I was obsessed with finding those in L.A. and I made a list of what restaurants carried them. And there's this place across the street from where I usually do my laundry and so that's the place I ended up going. Although I may try the other places on my list & compare. They were gooooood.

Oh, profiteroles!!! I have had those before. I did not know they were called profiteroles lol -- those things are delicious =) They remind me of religieuses:

Re: Near Death Experiences
religieuses look yummy!! I need to invade a dozen bakeries when I'm in Paris next. I don't know if they have those out here, but one can always hope.

They are filled with creme like profiteroles are =)

Re: Near Death Experiences
Now my profiteroles were weird. I had heard they were supposed to have ice cream in the middle. But it had ice cream on the side with a bunch of chocolate in the middle. so I sort of dipped it in the ice cream, it was good!

Re: Near Death Experiences
It was good, except when the chocolate got everywhere...my face, my shirt, my jacket, while I was driving. I was like, ok, i'm going to eat the rest at home. Yeah, quite an experience.

Re: Near Death Experiences
I read that! An exploding chocolate surprise can be so good & so bad at the same time =)
