yay! I'm glad you're excited. And there were plenty of other apple recipes. Which actually might go well with the caramel syrup whether the recipe calls for it or not. But the cheddar...I really couldn't believe it.
And as for avocado...it's one of the first recipes in the book. If I were thinking about buying the book, I'd put it down in an instant. Luckily, it's just on loan from the library. yikes!!

I think there is. In fact I read some more gross recipes tonight. They included mixing in cream of corn. Also there was a recipe for a beet granita. I am going to pass it on to my friend who likes beets and I'll have to see if he actually tries it. Yes, I think there was some kind of a carrot recipe. Seriously, this guy who wrote the book grossed me out. I am through with the book, but at least I wrote down some interesting recipes. Maybe the chocolate marshmallow or the creme brulee recipes will be good. (maybe)
Creme brulee sounds promising. I will avoid this book in case I choose to make my own ice cream in the future =)
Well, there are plenty of good recipes on the internet including the cherry one I posted (I haven't tried it so I don't know if it's good, but it looks great). But yeah, I'll let you know what happens.

Apple ice cream could be good. Cheddar sounds weird, but really good sharp cheddar is traditional treat on apple pie, sometimes with vanilla ice cream... so it might not be as awful as it sounds. Don't think I'd be willing to waste good cream to find out, though.

yeah... I re-read the recipe tonight to see if I read correctly. I think I might go with one of their apple recipes, but leave off the cheddar!
