Why can't the world just say "so you're Wiccan or not, who cares?"
~V
"I wasn't going to comment at first, but then realized that I should. If your friend quit Wicca it just wasn't her path or she found out that it wasn't her thing. Most people find that our religion (Wicca or Witchcraft) isn't the big scary thing other peopple tell them it is and therefore they aren't really rebelling against God by joining the faith or they just simply find out that Wicca isn't all that different from being Christain or Catholic or Buddhist so they go back to their roots! You'll find that even Christians change from one branch of Christainity to another a lot, too. It's all part of the process of growing up and exploring all your spiritual options. It's healthy to question what you are taught as well.
I don't know all the ins and outs of your friend's situation, but I hope you realize that Wiccans don't hate God and we aren't "anti-God". Be accepting to your friends and love them even though they may not believe or worship like you do. And just because preachers tell you that your friends will go to hell if they aren't Christians, doesn't mean that they will.
Religion can break people apart and it creates wars. Be at peace and respect the religions of others. We all have the right to worship without persecution.

And later, I got to thinking... Would I be as happy as this girl is if suddenly one of my closest friends ended up quitting Christianity? My answer is, "Hell, yeah!" And that's what inspired me to write something about it in my next blog...
