I have lamented my disillusionment with clubs for a while now... but luckily, there is an alternative.
Had a beer with a mate at one of the little Civic bars today... I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. The beer was great too ;) and I can see that I would stand a FAR better chance of meeting someone there than in a club. For one thing, you can actually *talk* and there's no need to go up and ask a girl to dance. So, goodbye Academy and hello little-Civic-bar-which-I-forgot-its-name-but-I-know-where-it-is-anyway :D
Formal was on Monday as well. I had a really good time, went with Nikki (as friends), who also enjoyed herself.
I'm getting a logbook lesson on Tuesday morning! It took over 6 months, but I'm finall getting back into it. Watch out, other road users, mwahahaha :)
In other news, I just sneezed out a massive glob of mucus. Just thought you all would like to know.
