Perhaps you are thinking of Lapinski's rule of 5, which detects patterns of drugs based on four rules (called rule of 5 because all of the rules end in 5s), but the rule you're talking about is Frigyes Karinthy's six degrees of separation. Although Karinthy never proved it after 20 years or so of research and failed math, Stanley Milgram, famous social psychologist for his "Perils of Obedience" experiment, did add much credibility to the theory.

 The first link I posted was misspelled, so it didn't go anywhere.

 

The one that you put up seems to be a general email address to the Gov.'s office for all sorts of different stuff.

 

Once I spelled it right the second one I put up seems to be an address that is more specific in where it goes, anyway, I sent an email, and got a received conformation back, so I guess I did it right.

death sentences are just easy ways out. if he rots in his prison cell for his whole life, wouldn't that be the greater punishment?

Not to sound like an asshole or anything, but wouldn't it be cheaper just to end it? Plus, the whole thought about what the convict would be thinking as far as an afterlife. It would scare the shit out of alot of people. Just the thought of not knowing what's next...

You would be right about the cost of death penalty on one condition: They followed trough with a death penalty sentence right away. The problem is, currently death row inmates are on death row for nearly 20 years or more before they are actually executed. I find that rediculous. I don't lean strongly one way or the other on this issue, but I find it sad that our law system would condemn a man and then wait that long to carry out the sentence. I understand partially why they wait so long (appeals, new evidence, possibility that he/she is innocent), but there has to be a faster and more efficient way to deal with it.

 

Of course, I am more of the opinion that death sentences aren't effective at jack squat. Hammurabi's code never really appealed to me anyhow...

You need to have an open mind, and just look at the shit on both sides of the fence. Both have their perks, both have their flaws.

He is against "Illegal Immigration", I am too. I don't like the idea of anyone sneaking into this country illegally and sapping this countries resources.

 

I think that we should deal with illegal aliens as criminals, and in the same manner that their country would deal with it's criminals, which in most cases is extremely harsh.

Wendy, you're absolutely right.  My hubby is form the philippines along with all his family -- but they came into this country through legal means -- totally different than sneaking in and making us pay their way. 

I likeyour stance on the death penalty issue -- I just blogged about it the other day with a guy they executed here in Baltimore.

Illegal immigration is cause of people who are at risk of dying in their own countries. The government in 3rd world countries are very corrupt. The kill people for no true reason. Though it is not fare for other's to be paying their way, everyone has a story and maybe their situation was so terrible they needed to get out of there asap.

 Fact: There are tens of thousands of people right here in America who are at risk of dying from everything from drug use, to starvation, and hypothermia at this very moment.

 

Fact: The Government of The United States of America is the most corrupt government in the entire fricking world, free, or communist.

 

Fact: Good upstanding citizens right here in America are killed by the American government, or jailed up, or just flat ass disappeared by the government, for no apparent reason all the time.

 

I don't care what their story is, it's just that "A Story". If you want to come to America, then come here through legal channels.

 

If you start by coming into this country, and breaking it's laws, then you should be treated like just what you are, which is a criminal.

 

AND you should be treated like a criminal by us just as you would be treated if you were a criminal in a jail in your own country, which ain't worth a fuck.
