I hate the color red, and let me tell you why.
See, about a year ago I went putt-putting on the best putt-putt course ever with some friends. They gave us the normal 4 colored balls, and everyone else grabbed their respective favorite, leaving me with the red ball, which for some reason immediately disgusted me. Apparently my moods swing inexplicably, but nonetheless, it has not switched back. Now personally I believe that the reason the color red suddenly turned on me was because I realized it's negative parallels through our society. The most obvious being it's relation to our blood, which is normally inside our bodies, so when we see it, it is not a good sign, thus the color red can parallel serious injuries or death. Next, the color red is often given to the underworld- Hades and whatever devilish fiend we can imagine. Although I don't have a thing against pitchforks because of this analogy, I have a feeling that I would not like a red pitchfork very much, especially if it was being held by a red devil with horns. So despite being associated with the greatest foe of our religious beliefs, the color red is also connected to the parallel foe of our secular world- anger, which drives all of our worldly problems, if you look at it that way. If I may draw an allusion to the wise show of the 90's--- Friends, of course--- when Ross decides to get angry in order to prove his manlihood to Emily in a match of Rugby, he calls himself Red Ross. I could continue these reasons for the negative association with the color red for a while, but I shall leave you with one last one--- Any girl scout or boy scout learns that the color red found in nature means danger- weather it be on berry, snake, spider, or anyother creppy slimey creature. Thus, I can justify my strong dislike of the color red. Have a nice day.
