Cole Aldrich started the game like a man possessed. He scored 11 points in the game's first seven minutes. However, he struggled late in the game much like the rest of the Jayhawks.

KU sprinted out to a 41-25 halftime lead against Colorado. Then, at one point early in the second half they built the lead up to 21 points. Thanks to some turnovers by KU and bad shooting, CU was able to cut the lead down all the way to 2 points. Sherron Collins then stepped up when it mattered most to put the game away. Collins was horrible for most of the game. He scored 9 of his 11 points in the second half. He scored the final 4 points for KU.

The Jayhawks were able to come away with a 66-61 victory. KU has won 39 of the last 40 against CU. Colorado has not won in Lawrence since 1983.

Kansas ran its record to 17-4 and 6-0 in conference play. They have won 36 straight games at home. That's good for the longest home winning streak in the nation.

Cole Aldrich finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Brady Morningstar and Markieff Morris each scored 10 points. KU will travel to play Baylor on Monday night.
