If we overturn Roe vs. Wade on the basis that states should hold the authority to decide who gets what civil rights, then why don't we just rid the Bill of Rights from the Constitution? After all, states should hold sovereignty over who can have rights and who can't, right?

What does Roe vs. Wade have to do with the idea of dumping the Bill of Rights?

Where in the Constitution is the authority given to the Federal Government to make any kind of law or ruling on abortion?

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Amendment IX

"The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

I think that would include a woman's right to conceive and bear a child... or not.

Are you saying the IX and X Amendments contradict each other?

How does the IX Amendment give the Federal Government the right to make a law or ruling regarding abortion?
